NPLCC Forest School provides funded trips for children who receive benefit-related free school meals. We believe all children deserve to enjoy days out during the school holidays. These sessions focus on holistic development, educational and fun days out that enable children to acquire practical life skills, manage challenges, and foster social connections. Funding is crucial to ensure access to these benefits, as studies show significant positive impacts on mental health, well-being, and overall development for disadvantaged children who wouldn’t usually have access to this kind of day trips.  

 

We always include a packed lunch or a hot meal on the trips to ensure children have a wholesome meal too.
